Furniture exhibit opens at Converse


Beginning Thursday, the Milliken Art Gallery at Converse College will host an exhibition of furniture and crafts by three western North Carolina artists.

Beginning Thursday, the Milliken Art Gallery at Converse College will host an exhibition of furniture and crafts by three western North Carolina artists.

The “Brothers: Non-Blood Kin” exhibition will feature pieces from Asheville artists Brent Skidmore, Dustin Farnsworth and Timothy Maddox. The exhibition will be available through Feb. 7 during gallery hours.

At 6 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Milliken Art Gallery, a Gallery Talk with the Artists will include discussions of their bond, their careers and their visions. The talk will be followed by the reception at 6:30 p.m. The exhibit and events are free.
